SURVEY TWO
(14th March 2006 to 11th July 2006).
The results of this survey revealed
that : There has been a 20 per cent rise in
the number of people aged 60 and above facing
insolvency compared with the first quarter of
2006.
Our quarterly survey which looks
at the debts of 300 people facing insolvency
in the UK showed that 29 per cent (87 people)
of those questioned were aged 60 or above and
that the average debt owed by this age group
was over £33,000.
The oldest person questioned
by the survey was an 85 year old man who owed
a shocking £37,000.
